A

BR (Bounce rate) is an online metric that communicates the percentage of people that leave your landing page after only one pageview.

Banner is an advertisement appearing on a web page in the form of a bar, column, or box.

Betting is a vertical in affiliate marketing that focuses on offers where the customer places bets on various sports events.

CPL (Cost per Lead)  is a pricing model whereby the advertiser pays a pre-established price for each lead generated.

CPS (Cost Per Sale)  is a metric used by advertisers to determine the amount of money paid for every sale generated by a specific advertisement.

CR (Conversion Rate) is the proportion of conversions versus a base metric such as users, sessions, etc.

CTR (Click Through Rate) is a metric that measures the number of clicks advertisers receive on their ads per number of impressions.

Call to action is a marketing term for any design to prompt an immediate response or encourage an immediate sale.

Case study  is the analysis of a particular instance (or "case") of something to demonstrate quantifiable results as a result of the application of something.

Click Fraud is the act of illegally clicking on pay-per-click ads to increase site revenue or to exhaust advertisers' budgets.

Cloaking is a technique in which the content presented to the moderators is different from that presented to the user's browser. 

Contextual Advertising is a form of targeted advertising for advertisements appearing on websites or other media, such as content displayed in mobile browsers.

Conversion is when a visitor to your website completes a desired goal, such as filling out a form or making a purchase.

Creative is the advertising material affliates use to promote products, services, campaigns, or any other offers.

Dating is a vertical in affiliate marketing in which the affiliates promote dating websites and try to get a user to register, prompt them to complete the profile, and if succeed, to become paying members.

Domain parking is the process of domain name registration on the CPA network's DNS servers for further use for landing pages. This tool comes in handy when social networks block your direct affiliate links.

Doorway is a site or a page created to rank for specific, similar search queries. This is considered to be one of the SEO spam methods.

Drive (traffic) is to launch ad campaigns for offers.

EPC (Earn per Click) is the average amount of money you earn each time someone clicks one of your affiliate links.

ER (Engagement Rate) is a metric that measures the level of engagement that the ad is receiving from an audience.

Misleading is when the costumer is being mislead by the advertiser or the affiliate. For instance, the costumer might have been promised a certain product or service, but after payment gets something else or even nothing at all.

Native advertising is the use of paid ads that match the look, feel and function of the media format in which they appear. 

News is an affiliate marketing vertical in which the affiliates promote a piece of viral or shocking content that is published on a specific webpage full of ads. In this vertical the costumer clicks on the ad to find more about the piece of news they saw on the ad and then might get interested in one of the banners, click and make a conversion there. 

Nutra is an abbreviation for nutraceuticals or nutritional supplements. This is an affiliate marketing vertical, where affiliates promote products such as Dietary Supplements, Weight Loss Supplements, etc.

Offer is a public proposition from a merchant to advertise a specific product or service in exchange for a commission.

PPC (Pay Per Click) is an advertising model where advertisers pay commission to the publishers whenever one of their ads is clicked on.

ROI (Return Of Investment)  is the calculation to determine how much you earned on a sale after the costs are subtracted.
